Get to Know Your Host
Ken Jee
Ken Jee is the host of the Exponential Athlete podcast. His lifelong obsession has been understanding what it takes for athletes to get to the next level. Part of his passion for this topic is grounded in his own failures as an athlete. He was unable to transfer his golf game from college to the professional level. Was this a lack of skill, mentality, conditioning, or something else involved with the process? He will find out and share the findings with you all.
Ken does in-depth case studies on the greatest athletes of all time to see what separated them from their competitors. He carefully studies their unique natural talents and tries to separate those from the tools that anyone can use.
Ken is also aware of his own shortcomings. He is not an expert in sports psychology, human physiology, or motor learning. For topics that are outside of this grasp, he brings on guests who are experts in their respective domains.
Outside of the podcast, Ken is the Head of Data Science at Scouts Consulting Group, a consulting firm that helps athletes and teams improve their performance by analyzing the data collected on them. He still plays competitive amateur golf and trains Jiu Jitsu regularly.
